Stamford International University provides high-speed internet access to all members of the University community (students, faculty, staff) as well as to on-campus guests (on request).
Please note that, by the mandate of the Thai Government, we are required to maintain internet traffic logs on a per-user or per-computer basis dating upto 90 days in the past. The University is obligated to provide this data if asked for by a court of law. This is as per the Thailand Computer Crime Act of 2007. All members of the University community are strongly advised to read this section carefully to be aware of the DO’s and DON’Ts of internet usage in Thailand.
How do I access the internet?
All regular users (students, faculty & staff) at Stamford are provided with credentials (usernames and passwords) for the Stamford University Network. To access the internet, you need to join one of the Wi-Fi networks available on campus and login at the authentication portal. If you haven’t received your login details yet, please contact our IT Helpdesk.
If you are a guest visiting our campus and wish to access the campus internet, please request your contact / sponsor for temporary internet access credentials.
What is the internet Bandwidth at Stamford?
All of our campuses have individual bandwidth requirements based on the number of concurrent users, student dormitories, nature of courses taught (online, blended, face to face, etc.). The ISP’s as well as the corresponding inbound / outbound bandwidths are listed below:
