The Acceptable Use Policy or AUP of Stamford International University applies to all users of Information Technology Systems – including but not limited to students, faculty, staff as well as guests. This covers all systems, networks, and facilities administered by the Department of Information Technology, as well as those administered by individual department, divisions & entities.
Usage of the IT Systems, even when carried out on privately owned devices that are not directly managed or maintained by the University, is governed by this Policy.
Information Technology ( “IT” ) is a rapidly evolving field spanning a vast and ever-growing array of computing & data communication facilities & services. It is used on a daily basis to create, retrieve, store & distribute material in multiple media & formats and plays a fundamental role in the day-to-day operations of the University. Every user of the University’s IT systems has the responsibility not the abuse the system and to respect the rights of the members of the community as well as the University itself.
The AUP of Stamford International University provides guidelines for the appropriate use of the University’s IT resources as well as for the University’s access to information about and oversight of these resources.
